AREAS OF APPLICATION​​

ADAPPTool contains three interlinked modules: User management, Approval tables and Master data maintenance. You can create new Ariba user and immediately use him in approval tables. When user leaves, replace him with just few clicks by another one as a supervisor or approver in any approval table. You can easily create custom groups and assign them to your users and much more.

USER MANAGEMENT​

ADAPPTool significantly simplifies user creation and editing, concentrating all user profile information into a single powerful 360° overview, including all of the organizational data and user rights assigned. Tool admin rights can be limited to specific Ariba modules, geographical areas etc. This allows you to decentralize the user management according to your needs.​  Empower your team with customized approval workflows for data changes like Ariba group assignments.

Approval workflows​  

ADAPPTool admins are able to review and edit diverse approval lookup tables (requisitions, central goods receiving etc.). Their rights can be limited to certain type of approval table, geographical area etc.

ACCESS REQUESTS​

The user request feature allows your employees to request Ariba access and receive it automatically based on predefined roles.

Each role is connected to one of the templates previously defined by ADAPPTool administrators, which assign the necessary groups and other user profile properties. Once the requester fills in the mandatory fields (if any) and submits the request, the user is created in ADAPPTool. Access to Ariba is granted automatically or after review, depending on your preference. This can significantly streamline or even fully automate user creation.

In the out-of-the-box Ariba solution, admins can edit all users or adjust all types of approval flows. However, if these tasks are not performed carefully—especially the latter—they can lead to serious errors, placing high demands on the admin’s comprehensive knowledge of the system. On the other hand, ADAPPTool admin interventions can be strictly limited to targeted tasks, Ariba modules, business units, or geographical areas, and the tool does not allow inappropriate actions that could have adverse effects. Admins do not need to know anything about CSVs or Ariba import tasks. You can leverage this to delegate tasks to local power users or a shared service center.

VALID DATA​

Data is sourced from Ariba APIs, predefined custom data, active directories, or — thanks to the ADAPPT API — any other system you use. No more typos.

Master data is loaded into Ariba out of the box as free-text CSV files. The absence of advanced integrated quality control often leads to the loading of non-existent or erroneous data (e.g., case sensitivity issues). ADAPPTool CSVs are based on predefined data, ensuring there are no syntax errors or invalid data. This is achieved by using your Ariba master data from the API, predefining custom data within the tool, and fetching user data from active directories, etc.
